character design is a pretty big spectrum when it comes to what to do and what not to do so this is a little tricky with how little i was given to work with. one thing i can say is think about what you want to design the character for: - are you just practicing character-design and will not be giving the character any actual lore to go off of? - or maybe you wish to use them full-time? this question may be simple but it gives you a general overview of how to approach designing a character. use their lore to your advantage and/or as inspiration and a lead to what to include or the general "freedom" you can have with designing them. if you're designing just to design i think you should use that to experiment with "riskier" character design tropes or things out of your comfort zone - give them features you usually avoid, draw something you consider more challenging, etc. character design is a never-ending practice and there's always room for adjustments and improvements along the way :^)
